IDRA is a non-profit, non-governmental and non-partisan independent think-tank established by a group of experienced researchers in 2000. As a public policy institute, IDRA promotes the values of freedom and democracy, free market economy, and civil society, and continuously serving the democratization of the Albanian society and the process of integration into the European Union.
IDRA represents a strategic combination of the research,
advocacy and education-oriented think tank.
IDRA’s Research Unit contributed in years in building a good
reputation on qualitative and quantitative research. This Unit has
carried out more than 40 projects and is now a Ltd. company on its
own, serving both institutional and private clients.
IDRA take pride in its projects implemented since 2000,
especially the yearly performed research on the corruption in Albania,
which have contributed to increase the transparency on this very
important issue.

To formulate alternative solutions to problems that the Albanian transition is facing in the fields of economy, legislation and the EU integration process;
To encourage and assist institutional reform in Albania;
To promote private sector development in Albania;
To promote a dialogue among academic circles, civil society actors, and policy and decision makers;
