In 2007 IDRA marked its 7-th birthday. During these 7 years IDRA has grown to be one of the leading and biggest research institutes in the country. It has expanded its operations and has created a new structure which allows for more flexibility and efficiency in managing different projects.
During the last two years IDRA followed a strategic decision to create the premises and follow activities which would ensure sustainability beyond just donors’ funds. As a result IDRA research and Consulting Ltd. emerged, a full service research company which has immediately proved to a success. IDRA Research & Consulting is focused mainly on market research and already has gained important clients such as Raiffeisen Bank, Procter & Gamble, Procredit Bank, Vodafone etc. This is one of the instruments that IDRA itself created to sell its highly regarded research services.
Another move was the establishment of Albanian Certification Body (ALCEBO) where IDRA is one of the founders and also main supporter. ALCEBO is a certification organization that operates in the area of product and system quality. It issues Eurepgap, ISO and HACCP certifications. It is the first Albanian organization accredited by the Accreditation Directorate as a certification organization in product quality.

We are proud that our clients and donors have continued to work with us and that we have increased their number year by year. Along with now “traditional” clients such as USAID, World Bank, Soros Foundation etc, IDRA has added to its portfolio other important clients such as UNDP, UNICEF, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, OSCE etc.
We are proud for the unique combination of staff that we have achieved at IDRA. Researchers from different academic fields make up a necessary mix for dealing with development projects in a comprehensive way. Our staff comes from fields of economics, sociology, psychology, law, IT, mathematics, political sciences etc. They compose the biggest asset of IDRA.
IDRA aims to be a leading development research institute in the country. I believe we are already there but the challenge now is to keep this position.
