Today at the Tirana International Hotel it was held the presentation of the findings of the “Corruption in Albania: Perception and Experience” survey. The survey was conducted by the Institute for Development Research and Alternatives (IDRA) under the framework of USAID Rule of Law Project.
This report presented the findings of the 2009 samples of general public, public sector employees, and judges on corruption issues. This is the fifth report following the 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2008 reports. The main objective of this survey was to measure over time the perception, attitude, and experiences of corruption in Albania.
Key speakers in the presentation of these findings were Ms. Roberta Mahoney, USAID Mission Director, Mr. Frederic G. Yeager, and Chief of Party, USAID’s ROL Project. The presentation was attended by Government representatives, Civil Society organizations, academics, and media.
The materials provided to the attendees include the Report, the Fact sheet, and a CD-ROM of working document in English and Albanian. The presentation was followed with an in-depth discussion session of the methodology and results.
